SUSTAINABLE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING: ENERGY-AWARE CLOUD ORCHESTRATION IN DATA CENTERSID: 3987 Abstract :The Rapid Acceleration Of Global Computational Demand Has Precipitated A Massive Expansion Of Large-scale Cloud Data Centers. While These Infrastructures Provide Critical High-availability Services, Their Substantial Power Consumption Has Emerged As A Severe Environmental Concern, Directly Contributing To Global Carbon Emissions. Sustainable Reliability Engineering (SRE) Seeks To Resolve The Inherent Tension Between Maintaining Stringent Quality Of Service (QoS) Constraints And Reducing The Ecological Footprint Of Digital Infrastructure. This Paper Presents A Comprehensive Framework For Energy-efficient Cloud Operations Through Automated Orchestration And Intelligent Resource Allocation. We Investigate The Integration Of Predictive Scaling Algorithms With Hardware-level Power Management Techniques, Specifically Dynamic Voltage And Frequency Scaling (DVFS). By Actively Monitoring Utilization Telemetry And Workload Fluctuations, The Proposed Orchestration Engine Dynamically Consolidates Virtual Machines (VMs) And Modulates Processor Frequencies To Minimize Static And Dynamic Power Draw During Idle Or Low-demand Periods. Experimental Analyses Utilizing The CloudSim Toolkit Indicate That Proactive Orchestration Can Reduce Total Energy Consumption By Up To 34% Without Inducing Significant Service Level Agreement (SLA) Violations. The Findings Establish That The Fusion Of Predictive Horizontal Autoscaling, DVFS-aware Placement, And Rigorous Efficiency Telemetry Forms The Foundation Of Modern Green Data Centers, Ensuring That Nextgeneration Cloud Networks Remain Both Robust And Ecologically Responsible. |
