AN ENERGY-AWARE MOBILE CLOUD COMPUTING FRAMEWORK FOR COMPUTATION OFFLOADING AND REMOTE DATA ACCESSID: 3830 Abstract :Mobile Devices Increasingly Support Applications That Demand Substantial Processing, Storage, And Data Exchange, While Remaining Constrained By Battery Capacity, Compute Resources, Memory, And Wireless Connectivity. This Paper Presents A Prototype-oriented Mobile Cloud Computing Framework Derived From A Developed Project On Computation Offloading For Mobile Users. The Framework Separates Mobile Interaction From Resource-intensive Processing And Remote Data Services By Using An Internet-accessible Cloud Layer. Its Design Combines Mobile-user Authentication, Data Upload And Retrieval, Cloud/vendor Interaction, Service-provider Access, And A Conceptual Offloading Decision Based On Computation Load, Data-transfer Volume, Bandwidth, Communication Delay, And Device Energy. The Implementation Uses Java/J2EE Web Technologies With HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Tomcat, MySQL, And An Android-capable Client Environment. The Project Includes Functional, Integration, System, Black-box, White-box, And Acceptance-oriented Testing. The Reported Prototype Testing Indicates That The Documented Test Cases Completed Successfully Without Observed Defects. The Study Also Highlights An Important Qualification: Offloading Is Not Universally Energy-efficient; The Communication Cost Of Transmitting Input And Receiving Output Must Be Lower Than The Energy Saved By Avoiding Local Computation. The Resulting Framework Therefore Provides A Practical Foundation For Adaptive Mobile-cloud Execution, With Future Extensions Toward Machine-learning-based Offloading, Edge Computing, Stronger Security, And Evaluation Under Real Network Conditions. Keywords—mobile Cloud Computing, Computation Offloading, Energy Efficiency, Mobile Devices, Cloud Services, Remote Data Access, Java, MySQL. |
