    BIM-BASED ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING, SPACE OPTIMIZATION, AND 3D MODELING OF A MODERN SCHOOL BUILDING USING AUTODESK REVIT

    Abstract :

    The Rapid Advancement Of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Has Transformed The Planning, Design, And Management Of Educational Infrastructure By Providing Intelligent Three-dimensional Modeling, Efficient Space Planning, And Improved Project Coordination. Modern School Buildings Require Well-organized Classrooms, Laboratories, Libraries, Administrative Offices, Staff Rooms, Auditoriums, Sports Facilities, Cafeterias, And Recreational Spaces While Ensuring Safety, Accessibility, And Optimal Utilization Of Available Land. Conventional Architectural Drafting Methods Often Involve Repetitive Modifications, Coordination Issues, And Limited Visualization, Resulting In Increased Project Cost And Construction Delays. Autodesk Revit Architecture Provides A Comprehensive BIM Platform That Integrates Architectural Planning, Spatial Optimization, Threedimensional Modeling, Visualization, Quantity Estimation, And Construction Documentation Within A Single Digital Environment. This Project Presents The Architectural Planning, Spatial Optimization, And 3D Modeling Of A Modern School Building Using Revit Architecture By Developing An Intelligent BIM Model Of A Modern Educational Campus Consisting Of Classrooms, Science Laboratories, Computer Laboratories, Library, Administration Block, Staff Rooms, Auditorium, Cafeteria, Sports Facilities, Parking Area, Playground, Staircases, Elevators, Washrooms, Emergency Exits, And Landscaped Surroundings. Intelligent BIM Components Including Walls, Columns, Beams, Slabs, Roofs, Floors, Doors, Windows, Ceilings, Furniture, Lighting Fixtures, And Landscaping Elements Are Modeled Using Parametric Design Techniques. The Developed BIM Model Automatically Generates Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections, Schedules, Material Quantity Take-offs, And Construction Documentation While Maintaining Complete Project Consistency. Realistic Walkthrough Rendering Enables Architects, Engineers, Educational Planners, And Clients To Visualize The Completed School Before Construction Begins. The Proposed BIM Methodology Significantly Improves Design Accuracy, Space Utilization, Project Coordination, Visualization Quality, And Construction Efficiency While Reducing Design Conflicts And Documentation Errors. The Study Demonstrates That Autodesk Revit Architecture Provides An Intelligent, Sustainable, And Efficient Platform For Designing Modern Educational Buildings That Meet Current Academic And Future Infrastructure Requirements.
