    Abstract :

    The Exigencies Of The 21 St Century Education Necessitate That Educators Constantly Keep Reinventing The Pedagogical Practices So As To Accommodate The Needs Of All Learners. Professional Development (PD) Is One Of The Fundamental Tools Needed To Facilitate Such Innovation. The Connection Between Professional Development Programs And Teacher Innovation In The Classroom Context Is Discussed In The Present Paper. Through A Review Of The Literature And A Qualitative Research Based On Semi-structured Interviews With Seasoned Educators, The Study Establishes Several Features Of PD That Facilitated Creativity, Flexibility, And Learner-centered Instructional Methods. The Evidence Shows That Long-term, Job-embedded, And Integrated PD Programs That Are Focused On Contentspecific Practices Result In Significant Changes In Teaching Practices. The Case Study Reveals The Significance Of Reflective Practice, Peer Interaction And Institutional Facilitation To The Development Of An Innovative Teaching Culture.
